Section 42-26-6 - Criminal justice policy board - appointment of membersThe criminal justice policy board shall consist of:
(1) The attorney general;(2) The superintendent of the state police and director of the department of public safety;(4) The director of the department of corrections;(5) The director of the department of human services;(6) The director of the department of behavioral healthcare, developmental disabilities and hospitals;(7) The chairperson of the state board of education;(8) The director of the department of children, youth and families;(9) The chief justice of the family court;(10) The president of the Rhode Island Police Chiefs Association;(11) One police chief selected by the Rhode Island Police Chiefs Association;(12) The chief justice of the Rhode Island supreme court;(13) The presiding justice of the superior court;(14) The chief judge of the district court;(15) The executive director of the Rhode Island League of Cities and Towns;(16) The director of health;(17) The director of the division of fire safety;(18) One university or college faculty member with a research background in criminal justice appointed by the governor;(19) Four (4) citizens appointed by the governor;(20) Three (3) representatives appointed by the governor from community service organizations.Amended by 2014 Pub.
