Section 262:61 - Witness certificates; purchase of orders, etc., by officers prohibited

A sheriff, deputy sheriff or other officer who takes the certificates of witnesses in criminal cases shall not purchase or discount or have any interest in orders drawn or demands upon the treasury by such witnesses.
