Section 176P:22 - Funeral expenses of insureds

A society may provide in its by-laws that a part of the amount payable as a death benefit may be used to pay the funeral expenses of the insured, but the amount so paid shall not exceed $300 and shall be deducted from the amount payable as a death benefit.
