Section 176A:8X - Coverage for patient care services under qualified clinical trials

Any contract between a subscriber and the corporation under an individual or group hospital service plan delivered or issued or renewed within the commonwealth shall provide for coverage of patient care services furnished pursuant to qualified clinical trials as defined in, and subject to the requirements and limitations of, section 110L of chapter 175.

Acts 2002, c. 257, § 5, provides: "This act shall apply to all policies, contracts, agreements, plans or certificates of insurance issued or delivered within commonwealth on or after January 1, 2003, and to all policies, contracts, agreements, plans or certificates of insurance in effect before January 1, 2003 upon renewal on or after January 1, 2003."
