Section 175:175 - Impersonation; penalty

Whoever, not being duly licensed as an insurance agent or broker or as a public insurance adjuster, represents or holds himself out to the public as being such an agent, broker or adjuster, or as being engaged in the insurance business, by means of advertisements, cards, circulars, letterheads, signs or other methods, or whoever, being duly licensed as such agent, broker or adjuster, advertises as aforesaid or carries on such business in any other name than that stated in his license, shall be punished by a fine of not less than ten nor more than one hundred dollars.
