Section 152:25D - Service company for settling claims or representing self-insurer; regulations

A self-insurer may engage a service company, third party administrator, or like organization to investigate, adjust or settle claims under this chapter. The insurance commissioner shall promulgate regulations governing the conduct and practices of service companies, third party administrators, or like organizations.
