Examinations for licensure, where applicable, shall be conducted not less than twice per year at times and places and in formats designated by the department. Examinations for licensure, where applicable, shall be written; provided, however, that portions thereof may be conducted orally at the department's discretion; and provided further, that a person who fails an examination may be admitted to the next available examination.
