Section 550.475 - Lease of pari-mutuel facilities by pari-mutuel permitholders

Holders of valid pari-mutuel permits for the conduct of any pari-mutuel wagering in this state are entitled to lease any and all of their facilities to any other holder of a same class valid pari-mutuel permit, when located within a 35-mile radius of each other; and such lessee is entitled to a permit and license to conduct intertrack wagering and operate its race meet or jai alai games at the leased premises.

Laws, ch. 271, s 25, eff. only if the Gaming Compact between the Seminole Tribe of Florida and the State of Florida executed by the Governor and the Seminole Tribe of Florida on 4/23/2021, as amended on 5/17/2021, under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988, is approved or deemed approved and not voided by the U.S. Department of the Interior, and shall take effect on the date that notice of the effective date of the compact is published in the Federal Register (contingency met).
