Section 4-205.01 - Eligibility for public assistance
(a) Public assistance may be awarded to, or on behalf of, any needy individual who is eligible for one of the categories of public assistance established by subchapter II of this chapter.
(b) Notwithstanding any other provision of this subchapter, no person shall be rendered ineligible for public assistance by reason of a civil violation of § 48-1201.

Entitlement to public assistance: Section 10 of D.C. Law 9-271 provided that notwithstanding subchapter V of Chapter 2 of Title 4, medical and geriatric parolees shall be entitled to general public assistance pending their application for eligibility.

Section 501 of D.C. Law 20 "126 provided that the Mayor, pursuant to subchapter I of Chapter 5 of Title 2 [ § 2-501 et seq.], may issue rules to implement the provisions of the act.
