Increasing the amount and quality of workforce housing is a critical need for Delaware's residents to ensure economic well-being and better quality of life. The purpose of this subchapter is to encourage use of private capital investment into residential housing units as set forth in this subchapter.
Added by Laws 2023, ch. 352,s 2, eff. 8/9/2024.Section 1 of the 2024 enacting legislation provides that the act shall be known as the "Delaware Workforce Housing Program."Section 3 of the 2024 enacting legislation provides that the act is effective immediately and is to be implemented the earlier of the following: (1) One year from the date of the act's enactment. (2) Notice by the Director of DSHA published in the Register of Regulations that final regulations to implement thie act have been promulgated.
