Section 8229 - [See Note] Facilitating information exchange(a) The Commission shall provide for facilitating the exchange of information to administer and implement the provisions of this Compact in accordance with the rules of the Commission, consistent with generally accepted data protection principles.(b) Nothing in this Compact shall be deemed or construed to alter, limit, or inhibit the power of a member state to control and maintain ownership of its licensee information or alter, limit, or inhibit the laws or regulations governing licensee information in the member state.Added by Laws 2023, ch. 395,s 1, eff. .Section 2 of the 2024 enacting legiislation provides that this subchapter takes effect upon the enactment of the Interstate Teacher Mobility Compact by the tenth state. The Secretary of the Department of Education shall provide notice published in the Register of Regulations that the Interstate Teacher Mobility Compact has been adopted by 10 states.
