Section 8-20-234 - Temperature compensator permanent

Whenever a temperature compensating meter is used to determine the amount of liquid fuels or liquefied petroleum gas offered for sale in the liquid state, such compensating meter shall be installed permanently on all meters within a geographical location owned by a user in Colorado and used exclusively for at least a period of one year and the temperature compensating devices shall not be disconnected, deactivated, or removed at any time except for repairs or for tests by the director of the division of oil and public safety. If a temperature compensating device is disconnected, deactivated, or removed for reasons other than repair, it shall not be reactivated for a period of one year from the date of removal. Notification of such removal or installation shall be in accordance with the provisions of section 8-20-408(2).
