Section 38-30-147 - Presiding officer may bring suit to protect property

Should it become necessary at any time to protect the rights of such body in and to real estate or personal property, the presiding officer thereof may bring suit in his own name for the benefit of the lodge or society over which he presides, in any court of record of this state having original jurisdiction and may prosecute or defend the same in the supreme court of the state.
