Section 33-14-111 - Snowmobile operation on right-of-way of streets, roads, or highways(1) Except as provided in section 33-14-110 (2), no snowmobile shall be operated on the right-of-way of any interstate highway or freeway.(2)(a) A snowmobile may be operated on the right-of-way of other roads, streets, and highways as far as practicable from the roadway thereof.(b) When operating on the right-of-way of a road, street, or highway as authorized by this section during hours of darkness, a snowmobile shall be operated only in conformity with the flow of traffic on the nearest lane of the adjacent roadway.(3) Any person who violates this section commits a civil infraction and, upon conviction, shall be punished by a fine of one hundred dollars.Amended by 2021 Ch. 462, § 581, eff. 3/1/2022.Amended by 2019 Ch. 423, § 26, eff. 7/1/2019.L. 84: Entire article added, p. 910, § 2, effective 1/1/1985. (2) Section 803(2) of chapter 462 (SB 21-271), Session Laws of Colorado 2021, provides that the act changing this section applies to offenses committed on or after March 1, 2022.
