Section 33-14-111 - Snowmobile operation on right-of-way of streets, roads, or highways
(1) Except as provided in section 33-14-110 (2), no snowmobile shall be operated on the right-of-way of any interstate highway or freeway.
(2)
(a) A snowmobile may be operated on the right-of-way of other roads, streets, and highways as far as practicable from the roadway thereof.
(b) When operating on the right-of-way of a road, street, or highway as authorized by this section during hours of darkness, a snowmobile shall be operated only in conformity with the flow of traffic on the nearest lane of the adjacent roadway.
(3) Any person who violates this section commits a civil infraction and, upon conviction, shall be punished by a fine of one hundred dollars.

(1) This section is similar to former § 33-7-110 as it existed prior to 1984.

(2) Section 803(2) of chapter 462 (SB 21-271), Session Laws of Colorado 2021, provides that the act changing this section applies to offenses committed on or after March 1, 2022.
