(1) The telecommunications subsystem shall be used to maintain effective interface with the other components of the system, which shall include but not be limited to the following: (a) To dispatch the ambulance;(b) To maintain contact while en route to the scene of the emergency;(c) To provide for triage at the scene of the emergency;(d) To provide for treatment while en route to the primary emergency care center;(e) To arrange for transfer to advanced emergency care centers.(2)(a) The department of personnel, in consultation with the office of information technology created in the office of the governor, shall coordinate the telecommunications subsystem with the existing state telecommunications network to the extent possible.L. 77: Entire article added, p. 1284, § 2, effective 1/1/1978.
