Section 13-308 - Verification of application and issuance of license(a)(1) The governing body of a county shall verify the statements made by the applicant in the application for the transient vendor license.(2)(i) If the application contains a false statement, the governing body may deny the license.(ii) If the license is denied, the governing body shall refund the license fee, less administrative costs.(b)(1) The governing body of a county shall issue a transient vendor license within 20 days after the application is filed if:(i) the governing body approves the application and surety bond; and(ii) the license fee is paid.(2) The license shall: (i) be effective for the duration and term applied for in the application not to exceed a period of 1 year; and(ii) terminate automatically.Amended by 2014 Md.
