Section 16-314 - Rights of employees(a) Employees may: (1) form, join, or assist an employee organization;(2) bargain collectively through a representative that the employees have chosen;(3) engage in other lawful concerted activities for the purpose of collective bargaining; and(4) refrain from any of the activities described in this subsection.(b)(1) An employee or group of employees in the bargaining unit may: (i) present to the Commission at any time a grievance arising under a collective bargaining agreement; and(ii) have the grievance adjusted without the intervention of the exclusive representative of the bargaining unit.(2) The Commission shall hear the grievance and participate in its adjustment.(3) An adjustment may not be inconsistent with the collective bargaining agreement.(4) The Commission shall give prompt notice of all adjustments to the exclusive representative.
