Section 9-233 - Volunteer - Deputy sheriff in Cecil County; police officer in Frederick County; auxiliary volunteer in Charles County Sheriff's Office(a) Each volunteer deputy sheriff of Cecil County is a covered employee while performing work assigned by the sheriff of the county.(b) Each volunteer police officer of Frederick County is a covered employee entitled to medical benefits under §§ 9-660 and 9-661 of this title while performing work assigned by the Sheriff of Frederick County.(c) Each auxiliary volunteer of the Charles County Sheriff's Office is a covered employee while performing work assigned by the Sheriff of the county.
