Section 14-5G-12 - Effect of license(a) A genetic counselor license authorizes a licensee to practice genetic counseling in the State while the license is effective.(b) If, while practicing genetic counseling, a licensed genetic counselor determines that a patient requires a diagnosis or treatment, the genetic counselor shall refer the patient to a licensed physician or another appropriate health care practitioner.Added by 2021 Md.
