Section 14-5F-11 - Licenses - Qualifications(a) To qualify for a license, an applicant shall be an individual who meets the requirements of this section.(b) The applicant shall be of good moral character.(c) The applicant shall be at least 21 years old.(d) Except as provided in § 14-5F-12 of this subtitle, the applicant shall:(1) Have a doctorate in naturopathic medicine from an approved naturopathic medical program; and(2) Pass the competency-based national naturopathic licensing examination Part I and Part II administered by the North American Board of Naturopathic Examiners, or its successor agency that has been nationally recognized to administer a naturopathic examination that represents federal standards of education and training.(e) An applicant shall be physically and mentally capable of safely practicing naturopathic medicine with or without reasonable accommodation.(f) If an applicant is licensed, certified, or registered to practice naturopathic medicine or any other health occupation in another state, the applicant shall be in good standing with the applicable state licensing, certification, or registration authority.(g) An applicant shall complete a criminal history records check in accordance with § 14-308.1 of this title.Amended by 2020 Md.
