Section 14-5A-23 - Violation; penalties(a) A person who violates any provision of §§ 14-5A-20 through 14-5A-22.1 of this subtitle is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $1,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 1 year or both.(b) A person who violates any provision of §§ 14-5A-20 through 14-5A-22.1 of this subtitle is subject to a civil fine of not more than $5,000 to be levied by a disciplinary panel.(c) The Board shall pay any penalty collected under this section into the Board of Physicians Fund.Amended by 2020 Md.
