Section 13-1103 - Membership(a)(1) The Advisory Committee consists of nine members.(2) Of the nine members: (i) three shall be from Somerset County;(ii) three shall be from Wicomico County; and(iii) three shall be from Worcester County.(3) The governing body of each county shall appoint the members from that county.(b) Each member of the Advisory Committee shall be a member of the general public and reside in the county from which the member is appointed.(c)(1) The term of a member is 5 years.(2) The terms of members are staggered as required by the terms provided for members of the Advisory Committee on October 1, 2008.(3) At the end of a term, a member continues to serve until a successor is appointed and qualifies.(4) A member who is appointed after a term has begun serves only for the rest of the term and until a successor is appointed and qualifies.(d) The governing body that appointed a member may remove the member for incompetence or misconduct.
