Section 10-210 - Admission of lawyers from other states(a) An applicant who is a member of the bar of another state may become a member of the Bar of this State if the applicant: (1) is of good character and reputation;(2) provides adequate evidence that, for at least 5 of the 7 years immediately before applying for admission to the Bar, the applicant was practicing law or teaching law or was a judge;(3) pays the application fee set by the Supreme Court of Maryland; and(4) passes an examination given by the Board.(b) The Supreme Court of Maryland may adopt rules to govern: (1) the content and administration of an examination given under this section;(2) the determination of the character and reputation of applicants; and(3) any other matter necessary to provide for the admission to the Bar of applicants under this section.
