Section 26-504 - Beer sale on credit to retail dealer prohibited(a) For purposes of applying § 2-314 of this article:(1) a cash deposit for a returnable container shall be required at the time of sale or delivery of beer;(2) a check accepted for payment that is not postdated and is promptly deposited for collection by the license holder is considered cash; and(3) a check that is given in payment for beer to a license holder and is returned uncollected, is prima facie evidence of a violation by the wholesaler of § 2-314 of this article.(b) A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 6 months or a fine not exceeding $500 or both.Added by 2016 Md.
