Section 26-1003 - Convention center license(a) There is a Class B-CC (convention center) beer, wine, and liquor license.(b) The Board may issue the license only for use by a hotel that has: (1) at least 1,500 bedrooms;(2) at least three dining areas with facilities for preparing and serving regular meals;(3) rooms for meetings, displays, banquets, balls, dancing, and live entertainment; and(4) a bar and entertainment or dancing area commonly recognized as a nightclub.(c)(1) The license authorizes the license holder to sell beer, wine, and liquor: (i) for consumption throughout the licensed premises, both indoors and outdoors, including meeting and banquet rooms, patios, verandas, quays, and green spaces; and(ii) except as provided in paragraph (2) of this subsection, from locked, prestocked private bars in individual guest rooms if the charges for the beer, wine, and liquor sold are indicated on the guest room bill.(2) The management of the establishment shall remove the bar key from a room that is rented to a guest under the age of 21 years.(d) The license authorizes dancing and live entertainment throughout the licensed premises.(e) The total average daily receipts of the license holder from the rental of meeting rooms and bedrooms and the sale of food are required to exceed the average daily receipts of the license holder from the sale of beer, wine, and liquor.(f) The license holder may serve beer, wine, and liquor on Monday through Sunday, from 6 a.m. to 3 a.m. the following day.(g) The annual license fee is $22,000.(h) This section does not preclude a license holder from having an interest in any other alcoholic beverages licenses in the county.Added by 2016 Md.
