Section 59-102-30 - Service of process on nonresident agents; subpoenas; use of funds(A) The provisions of the Administrative Procedures Act of Chapter 23, Title 1 apply to this chapter. The Department of Consumer Affairs may promulgate regulations to effectuate the purposes of this chapter.(B) By acting as an athlete agent in this State, a nonresident person appoints the Director of the Department of Consumer Affairs as his agent for service of process in a civil action in this State related to his acting as an athlete agent in this State.(C) The Department of Consumer Affairs may issue subpoenas for material relevant to the administration of this chapter.(D) All funds collected by the department pursuant to this chapter may be retained by the department and used to implement the provisions of this chapter.Amended by 2018 S.C.
