Section 33-19-110 - Purposes(a) Except to the extent authorized by subsection (b), a corporation may elect professional corporation status under Section 33-19-109 solely for the rendering of professional services, including services ancillary to them, within a single profession.(b) A corporation may elect professional corporation status under Section 33-19-109 for the rendering of professional services within two or more professions, and for engaging in any lawful business authorized by Section 33-3-101, to the extent the combination of professional purposes or of professional and business purposes is authorized by the licensing law of this State applicable to each profession in the combination.1988 Act No. 444, Section 2; Repealed, 1988 Act No. 44, Section 4(5)]; 1962 (52) 1911; Derived from 1976 Code Section 33-51-30 [1962 Code Section 56-1603.
