Section 1-3-440 - Further powers of GovernorFor the purposes already stated the Governor may take and exercise any or all of the following actions:
(1) Call out the military forces of the State (State militia) or any unit or units thereof and order and direct them to take such action as in his judgment may be necessary to avert any threatened danger and to maintain peace and good order;(2) Order any and all law enforcement officers of the State or any of its subdivisions to do whatever may be deemed necessary to maintain peace and good order;(3) Order the discontinuance of any transportation or other public facilities, or, in the alternative, direct that such facilities be operated by a State agency; or(4) Authorize, order or direct any State, county or city official to enforce the provisions of such proclamation in the courts of the State by injunction, mandamus, or other appropriate legal action.1957 (50) 521; 1962 Code Section 1-130.1.
