Section 249A.13 - Medicaid managed care organization premiums fund1. A Medicaid managed care organization premiums fund is created in the state treasury under the authority of the department of health and human services. Moneys collected by the director of the department of revenue as taxes on premiums pursuant to section 432.1B shall be deposited in the fund.2. Moneys in the fund are appropriated to the department of health and human services for the purposes of the medical assistance program.3. Notwithstanding section 8.33, moneys in the fund that remain unencumbered or unobligated at the close of a fiscal year shall not revert but shall remain available for expenditure for the purposes designated. Notwithstanding section 12C.7, subsection 2, interest or earnings on moneys in the fund shall be credited to the fund.Added by 2023 Iowa, ch 158, s 3, eff. 7/1/2023.Referred to in §432.1B
