Section 230.5 - [Repealed Effective 7/1/2025]

If a person's residence is determined in accordance with section 230.2 or 230.3 to be in a foreign state or country, or is unknown, the court or the regional administrator of the person's county of residence shall immediately certify the determination to the department. The certification shall be accompanied by a copy of the evidence supporting the determination. A court order issued pursuant to section 229.13 shall direct that the patient be hospitalized at the appropriate state mental health institute.
