Section 43.16 - Filed nomination papers - returns and additions not allowed - withdrawal1. After a nomination paper has been filed, it shall not be returned to the person who has filed the paper, nor shall any signature or other information be added to the nomination paper.2.a. A person who has filed nomination petitions with the state commissioner may withdraw as a candidate not later than the seventy-sixth day before the primary election by notifying the state commissioner in writing.b. A person who has filed nomination papers with the commissioner may withdraw as a candidate not later than the sixty-ninth day before the primary election by notifying the commissioner in writing.3.
