Section 31-6-51 - [Repealed Effective 12/31/2024] [Recommendations relating Certificate of Need Program](a) The department, in conjunction with the Office of Legislative Counsel, shall review the statutory framework and provisions of this chapter and the certificate of need program generally and shall make recommendations relating to rewriting, reorganizing, and clarifying the provisions of this chapter. Such review shall also include recommendations to streamline the statutory procedures required to obtain a certificate of need or a letter of determination.(b) The department may consult with and obtain input from certificate of need applicants, certificate of need holders, local government representatives, citizens, or other interested parties in conducting such review.(c) The department shall submit its recommendations to the General Assembly, which may include proposed legislation, no later than December 1, 2024.(d) This Code section shall stand repealed on December 31, 2024.Added by 2024 Ga.
