Section 28-4-5.1 - Representation in litigation matters(a) The Legislative Services Committee may assign to one or more legislative staff members or to an office the duty to provide and oversee the provision of legal services for the legislative branch of government and, with the approval of the committee or the chairperson, to represent the interests of the legislative branch in matters involving litigation and as to legislation that may affect the legislative branch and to perform any other assigned duties.(b) The provisions of this Code section shall not be construed to impair or limit the duties or authority of the legislative counsel or the Office of Legislative Counsel as provided by law.Added by 2024 Ga.
