Section 45-NEW - [Newly enacted section not yet numbered]
(a) The Sheriff of Tallapoosa County may charge and collect reasonable fees for administrative services including, but not limited to, fees for fingerprinting, fees for criminal history investigations and reports thereon when otherwise authorized by law, and fees for copies of various requested records. The fees shall not be charged for a service requested on behalf of a law enforcement agency for a law enforcement purpose, nor shall the fees apply to a person applying for a pistol permit.
(b) The sheriff shall remit the fees collected pursuant to this act periodically to the Tallapoosa County Commission for deposit in the county general fund.
