Section 45-NEW - [Newly enacted section not yet numbered](a) Effective July 1, 2024, the commissioner of licenses shall receive an additional expense allowance equal to 12.5 percent of the commissioner's salary on June 1, 2024, payable in equal monthly installments from the general fund of the county. The expense allowance shall be in addition to all other compensation, expense allowances, or benefits granted to the commissioner.(b) Beginning with the next term of office after July 1, 2024, the commissioner of licenses shall receive an annual salary equal to 112.5 percent of the commissioner's salary on June 1, 2024, and the expense allowance in subsection (a) shall be void.Ala.
