Section 45-8A-130.02 - Exemptions

This part applies to all officers and employees in the service of the city or any board, agency, or instrumentality thereof except:

(a) elective officers;

(b) members of appointive boards, commissions, and committees;

(c) attorneys, physicians, surgeons;

(d) the judge of any court;

(e) independent contractors receiving their remuneration from public funds under contracts awarded by competitive bidding;

(f) any person whose employment is subject to the approval of the United States government or any agency thereof;

(g) any volunteer or utility labor employed on a part-time basis.
