Section 45-8A-130.02 - ExemptionsThis part applies to all officers and employees in the service of the city or any board, agency, or instrumentality thereof except:
(b) members of appointive boards, commissions, and committees;(c) attorneys, physicians, surgeons;(d) the judge of any court;(e) independent contractors receiving their remuneration from public funds under contracts awarded by competitive bidding; (f) any person whose employment is subject to the approval of the United States government or any agency thereof; (g) any volunteer or utility labor employed on a part-time basis.Ala.
