Section 45-52-234.23 - Morgan County Community Corrections and Court Services Fund

Any individual who is authorized or sentenced to participate in a work release program pursuant to this subpart shall pay a sum equal to 25 percent of his or her gross earnings from his or her work release employment to the commission established by Section 45-52-234.29. The sums so designated and collected, whether by payroll deduction or otherwise, shall be deposited by the commission to a separate fund to be known as the Morgan County Community Corrections and Court Services Fund. No less than quarterly, the commission shall distribute 20 percent of the revenues collected from the work release program to the Sheriff of Morgan County to be used by the sheriff for law enforcement purposes. The court having jurisdiction of the case, as a condition of release, probation, or participation in work release or any other program implemented and administered pursuant to this subpart, may require that the defendant establish a payroll deduction with his or her employer for the payment of any sums due hereunder.
