Section 45-52-111 - Qualified electors
(a) The board of registrars in Morgan County shall have authority to omit and remove from the list of qualified electors in the county the name of any person who fails to vote at least once in six years in any general election, primary election, municipal election, or special election held in the county.
(b) It shall be the duty of the board of registrars in the county to notify each person whose name shall be removed from the list of qualified electors pursuant to subsection (a), by first class mail or postal card addressed to his or her last known address as shown by the records of the board.
(c) Any qualified elector in the county whose name shall be omitted or removed from the list of qualified electors shall be entitled to have his or her name restored to the list of qualified electors by reregistering in the same manner as initial registration; provided, however, no person shall be registered or reregistered by the board of registrars as an elector within 21 days prior to an election.
(d) Within 10 days after any election held in the county, the Judge of Probate of Morgan County shall certify a poll list of the election to the board of registrars of each person voting in each election and it shall be the duty of the municipal clerk in each municipality of the county to certify a poll list of the election to the board of registrars of each person voting in a municipal election within 10 days after an election.
