Section 27-2-29 - Hearings - Notice
(a)
(1) Except where a longer period of notice is provided by other provisions of this title relative to particular matters, not less than 10 days in advance the commissioner shall give notice of the time and place of the hearing, stating the matters to be considered . If the persons to be given notice are not specified in the provision pursuant to which the hearing is held, the commissioner shall give the notice to all persons whose pecuniary interests are to be directly and immediately affected by the hearing.
(2) If a hearing is to be held for consideration of matters which under this subsection would otherwise require separate notices to more than 50 persons, in lieu of the notice required under this subsection, the commissioner may post a notice of the hearing for at least 30 days prior to the date of the hearing on a website maintained by the department.
(b) If a hearing is to be held for consideration of rules of the commissioner, notice shall be posted for at least 35 days prior to the date of the hearing on a website maintained by the department and by publication in the Alabama Administrative Monthly.
(c)
(1) The notices provided for by this section shall state the time and place of the hearing and shall specify the matters to be considered at the hearing.
(2) All of the notices, other than published notices, shall be given as provided in Section 27-2-18.
(d) This section does not apply as to hearings provided for in Chapter 13 of this title."
