Section 22-11A-114 - Reporting categories(a) All general, critical access, and specialized hospitals licensed pursuant to Section 22-21-20, shall report data on health care facility acquired infections for the specific clinical procedures as recommended by the council and defined by the department, in the following categories: Surgical site infections; ventilator associated pneumonia and central line related bloodstream infections.(b) The board may promulgate rules to require health care facilities licensed pursuant to Section 22-21-20, to collect data on health care facility acquired infection rates either in lieu of or in addition to the categories specified in this section.Ala.
