Section 13A-10-102 - Perjury in the second degree(a) A person commits the crime of perjury in the second degree when he swears with intent to mislead a public servant in the performance of his duty and his false statement is material to the action, proceeding or matter involved.(b) Perjury in the second degree is a Class A misdemeanor.Ala.
