Section 5898 - Adoption of regulations(a) The State Department of Health Care Services, in consultation with the Mental Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission, shall develop regulations, as necessary, for the State Department of Health Care Services, the Mental Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission, or designated state and local agencies to implement this act. Regulations adopted pursuant to this section shall be developed with the maximum feasible opportunity for public participation and comments.(b) If amendments to the Mental Health Services Act are approved by the voters at the March 5, 2024, statewide primary election, this section shall become inoperative on January 1, 2025, and as of that date is repealed.Ca.
