Section 16435 - [Effective until 1/1/2025] Deposit(a) Proof of financial responsibility may be given by the deposit of thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000), as provided in Section 16054.2. The department shall not accept a deposit where any judgment theretofore obtained against that person as a result of damages arising from the operation of any motor vehicle shall not have been paid in full.(b) This section shall remain in effect until January 1, 2025, and as of that date is repealed.Amended by Stats 2022 ch 717 (SB 1107),s 6, eff. 1/1/2023.Amended by Stats. 1989, Ch. 1157, Sec. 13.
