Section 9250.2 - [Operative 1/1/2034] Surcharge on registration fees for motor vehicles registered in Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District(a)The department, if requested by the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District pursuant to Section 41081 of the Health and Safety Code, shall impose and collect a surcharge on the registration fees for every motor vehicle registered in that district, not to exceed four dollars ($4).(b)This section shall become operative on January 1, 2034.Amended by Stats 2022 ch 355 (AB 2836),s 25, eff. 1/1/2023.Amended by Stats 2013 ch 401 (AB 8),s 37, eff. 9/28/2013.Added by Stats 2004 ch 707 (AB 923),s 15.5, eff. 1/1/2005, op. 1/1/2015.
