Section 217 - Request to cancel person's services(a) A business that receives an oral or written request from a family member, attorney, or personal representative of a deceased person to cancel that person's services may not require an in-person cancellation. (b) For purposes of this section, "services" include, but are not limited to, gas, electrical, water, sewage, cable, satellite, telephone, or cellular telephone service.Added by Stats 2007 ch 14 (AB 604),s 1, eff. 1/1/2008.
