Section 89510 - Contributions accepted within limits; contributions deposited into campaign account held in trust(a) A candidate for elective state office may only accept contributions within the limits provided in Chapter 5 (commencing with Section 85100).(b) All contributions deposited into the campaign account shall be deemed to be held in trust for expenses associated with the election of the candidate or for expenses associated with holding office.Amended by Stats 2000 ch 102 (SB 1223), s 67, eff. 7/7/2000.Amended by Stats 2001 ch 241 (SB 34), s 17, eff. 9/4/2001.
