Limitations on Persons Who Make Independent Expenditures and Contributions to Candidates Any person who makes a contribution of one hundred dollars ($100) or more to a candidate for legislative office shall be considered to be acting in concert with that candidate and shall not make independent expenditures and contributions in excess of the amounts set forth in Sections 85300 and 85301 in support of that candidate or in opposition to that candidate's opponent.
