The Department of Economic Opportunity may enter into an agreement with the California Energy Extension Service to provide technical assistance and outreach programs to low-income individuals and the Department of Economic Opportunity energy agencies which shall include, but not be limited to, all of the following:
(a) Energy education programs for recipients of low-income energy assistance.(b) Energy education to senior citizens, disabled individuals, Native Americans, seasonal migrant workers, and rural communities.(c) Training programs and technical assistance for community action agencies and community-based organizations and other groups which administer the low-income home energy assistance programs at the local level.Amended by Stats. 1986, Ch. 125, Sec. 4.
