Section 5302 - Knowing violation of section 6525.5(a); violation of order issued pursuant to section 8201(a) Whoever knowingly violates subdivision (a) or (b) of Section 6525.5 shall be punished by a fine of not more than one million dollars ($1,000,000) for each day the violation continues, by imprisonment pursuant to subdivision (h) of Section 1170 of the Penal Code for 2, 3, or 4 years, or by both that fine and imprisonment.(b) Any person who is subject to an order issued pursuant to Section 8201 who knowingly violates the order, directly or indirectly, shall be punished by a fine of not more than one million dollars ($1,000,000) for each day violation continues, by imprisonment pursuant to subdivision (h) of Section 1170 of the Penal Code for 2, 3, or 4 years, or by both that fine and imprisonment.Amended by Stats 2011 ch 39 (AB 117),s 68, eff. 6/30/2011.Amended by Stats 2011 ch 15 (AB 109),s 101, eff. 4/4/2011, but operative no earlier than October 1, 2011, and only upon creation of a community corrections grant program to assist in implementing this act and upon an appropriation to fund the grant program.
