Section 49132 - Application required(a) A permit shall not be issued until the minor accompanied by the minor's parent or guardian appears before the person authorized to issue the permit and submits the minor's application thereto.(b) A permit shall not be denied for noncompliance with subdivision (a) if all of the following apply: (1) The minor's school is physically closed for an extended period of time because of a natural disaster, pandemic, or other emergency.(2) The minor's application is complete and has been successfully submitted electronically.(3) The minor, accompanied by the minor's parent or guardian, has attended a video conference with the person issuing the work permit.(c) This section shall apply only to minors subject to Section 49130.Amended by Stats 2020 ch 64 (AB 908),s 2, eff. 9/11/2020.
